Have a great time! Growing up we would camp at the beach in campgrounds and would sleep in tents. I live in North Carolina and Myrtle beach was the place to be back then. So much fun. We even would camp in the mountains too. I'm 65 and you do miss those younger times. But the memories are priceless.

Drive over to the military side and use the showers over there. No ID is needed or anything. We always stayed over there in the cabins.

Hello from Wichita Ks. I remember the camping trips we took as kids. We had one of those small round looking campers, red and white. It was tight but so fun. We fished and took walks in the walking paths. Wonderful memories. Have a fun and blessed weekend❤🎉

P S...just a quick note on washing and showering. Dolly Parton said growing up you had a basin of water and washed far down as Possible and then you washed from your feet and legs up as far as Possible and then...You Washed Possible !!!

✍Hello Violett Family... The '92 Catalina camper I had was only 25 ft long and slept 4 but it had a full floor to ceiling linen closet, tub and shower and toilet and a double medicine cabinet in the bathroom and also a back door which was handy when outside you didn't have to go thru the whole camper just to use the toilet.The Bedroom had a double dresser with 3 deep drawers and 3 storage cabinets underneath those drawers. On the opposite wall was a full size bed with a large dbl.storage cabinet and storage underneath the bed and on the wall was a tall cabinet we used for games and puzzles and on the opposite side was a floor to ceiling clothes closet. In the living corner was a built in area for a TV and opposite the room there was a Flexsteel sofa which made into a dbl.bed then you went into the kitchen. When the original fridge died the space was large enough to put in a lg.apartment refrigerator. We had a Magic Chef 4 burner stove and oven. Above was a place for a microwave and then cupboards all around the top which was then next to a full size pantry and kitchen cabinets underneath the twin porcelain sink and a round drop sided table with chairs and of course the front door. This camper was made exceptional. It was laid out more like a small apartment. We had AC and a large 100 gal propane tank so we could winter camp. People were amazed how much storage and room we had. We had a permanent camping spot which was in a resort and we were able to build a 20 x40 covered deck around our camper. We sold it 2 years ago and when we went to put up the For Sale sign it sold fast because people knew how well laid out the camper was and our lot was bigger than most 70 x80 with a shed for our golf car and mower and tools. . We kept up all the repairs and believe me the mice kept us busy but luckily they didn't do any damage. We were told that the older campers like ours were really much better back then they are now. Its really great your kids are getting to go camping at their young age cause we weren't able to do those things with our girls due to medical issues and both of us having to work. Your camper looks much like the one we had for 20 years. We sold it because my husband has severe COPD and isn't able to do the things we need to set up and tear down. It was easier than when we had a pop-up, just more than what he is capable of doing now. I agree regarding a shower or sponge bath. I am Type II diabetic so I develop a yeast infection if I don't bath some way. Most of the places we would go to camp had at least a decent bath house for showers. Enjoy these days. My niece that lives outside of Wasilla goes camping. Love their pictures and videos they post. They fish and hunt to supplement their diet.

Jessica I totally agree there's nothing like camping the serenity, also the chaos but, wouldn't trade it for anything when I was younger, unfortunately we're older now and my hubby has health issues so thanks for taking us on your vacation love seeing the kids having fun. Just be present for her and her boys. Cook dinner for them. Let her call and cry, scream, etc... just let her feel her feels. I lost my husband, who I had been with since I was 26 yrs old. I lost him 4/1/23 after 32 years together. It seems like you are surrounded by those that care the first 2 weeks, then others go back to work and living. Send a card, call or go visit her, that will help.

Hello Violet Family. Jessica if you have a water problem get creative. Get some eco friendly soap, put on your bathing suit and go in the lake like your swimming. That'll take care of most of your problems. 😊. Also take a bunch of wipes with you. We had to get creative horseback riding and camping. By the time we got home no one could tell who smelled us or the horses. 😂. We were so tired we didn't care. We had a great time. That's what matters. Such a beautiful lake. Take care you all. ❤
